Gone are the days of sticking strictly to matching prints and patterns when selecting textiles for your house or apartment. There are so many ways to incorporate multiple colors and patterns to create a unique space. Here are five ways you can mix prints to design an eye-catching and creative home:
Subtle Prints: Ease into mixing prints by placing them on a neutral backdrop. Whites, grays, and earth tones can balance out any color or pattern. Try selecting three throw pillows, including one solid color and two different prints.
Bolds & Black: Multi-colored stripes and floral prints can be mixed effortlessly, and a black wall makes bold colors pop!
Background Patterns: Stripes and delicate florals can play a supporting role with neutral elements, such as this hanging chair, as the primary focus.
Modern Florals: Mix multiple floral prints by choosing a specific color palette and offsetting it with matching solid or white accents.
Random Mix: As long as there are several solid colors included, stripes and prints can be mixed somewhat haphazardly to form a creative living or sleeping space.
