NEW YORK (AP) - Is Broadway ready for "Trapped in the Closet"? R. Kelly thinks so - and says he's working on making it happen.

The superstar unveiled the latest chapters of his wacky video opera to a packed theater on Monday night and told the audience that he's working to bring the series to the stage, and he hoped to appear in some performances.

Kelly didn't put a timeline on when that may happen. In the meantime, fans of the cult classic will have to be satisfied with the latest installments in the musical tale, which premieres on IFC on Friday.
