Spring Break 2013

It’s finally here – Spring Break 2013. These are the five days that college students across the nation countdown to all semester long. Right now, all kinds of vacation spots are being infiltrated with anxious students looking to relieve a little stress.

Spring Break is the time to drop all your school related worries and take a breather. Close those calendars with important stuff scribbled everywhere and relax.

You may be traveling out of the country or just staying here in College Station, but make sure to make some time for fun. You may not see any until the end of the semester. Ouch…

Here are a few of my Spring Break 2013 tips!

1. Do NOT be that girl/boy. Everyone knows what some people do during their Spring Break activities, but please don’t be that one person who everyone gets fed up with. It’s called Spring BREAK not Spring REGRET.

2. MAKE GOOD CHOICES. Before you do something crazy or post something inappropriate on Facebook, just think “what would my mom say?” I know my mother’s face is permanently stuck in my head when I’m making decisions. If you have the slightest thought that it may be a bad idea…it’s probably a bad idea. Don’t take that drink some random guy at the bar gave you, don’t accept gifts for other favors, and don’t think you handle an amount of a beverage just because your friends say you can. It’s simple stuff…just remember.

3. Budget. We all have to come back next Monday to live our normal lives. This means you’re going to have to pay for gas, food, and school. Don’t think that extra $20 you spend every night won’t affect you next week. Having a fun Spring Break on a budget is much better than sitting at home without a car and hungry. Or this will be you…

And if you’re staying in to study and catch up on homework…then none of the above applies! Your only rule is: Sleep in.
