Halloween is over and the holidays are near! If you’re dating someone then you know that this special time requires lots of planning, shopping, and fun time together!
Since I am dating someone, I have to plan for the both of us (guys aren’t the best at this). I suggest thinking through the holidays so you know exactly what you're doing! We’ll see family for Thanksgiving, shop together for Christmas presents, and then think of ways together to ring in the New Year.
When deciding which set of family members to see for the holidays, I find the easier solution is that we see one set of family members for one holiday and the other for the next holiday. Each year you can alternate which side of the family you will see on what holiday. That way all is fair and everyone is happy.
Shopping for Christmas presents shouldn’t be too bad. All we need to do is decide who and what we’re buying for, then find a good time to beat the crowds. Also we’re good about saving money. I suggest joining your favorite store’s email clubs for a great way to get some holiday discounts! When buying for your sweetie set a price limit, so again all is fair, and no one gets their feelings hurt.
For New Years, I’d like for us to celebrate it with each other. I haven't thought this far ahead yet, so I don’t know if I want to just relax and watch the ball drop at home, or if I’d like for us to go out! Either way it's important for any couple to share that New Year's kiss!
For my single friends, you could take this time to find someone or just celebrate the holidays by having fun as a single gal!
The holidays require some effort to make it nice, but don’t forget the importance of having fun and cherishing it with people you love, whether it be your significant other or friends.
Also, don’t forget to leave a comment about your plans for the holidays! I need some New Year's suggestions!
