Happy 2013 fashion lovers, it's a new year with new stylish beginnings! Start off the year right with some of my favorite fashion tips that will change your life by reducing clutter, saving money, and looking good of course!
Cut Back Closet Clutter
I know it's hard, but don't keep the clothes you never wear! My favorite trick is to turn all your hangers facing towards the back of your closet, then at the end of 2013 check to see which hangers are still backwards. If you haven't touched them in a whole year, let's face it... you're not going to.
Secondly, as we all know a common resolution is to loose weight. Once you achieve your goal (I believe in you) don't keep the clothes that are too big! It will make it that much easier for you to put back on the weight.
When it's time to give up those old clothes, donate them or resale!
Take Fashion Risks
I hate when people say, "I could never pull that off." Yes, you can! Be fearless, try trends and express yourself. All it takes to "pull off" a look is confidence.
Save By Shopping Smart
I pride myself on shopping smart, so I shall share my secrets with you! Be a part of every email list possible. It's like being a V.I.P to all your favorite stores! You will know the sales before the happen, get coupons, birthday gifts and other special deals.
Don't blow off the cashier when they ask if you would like to become a store member. The memberships vary, but you can rack up points for free gifts, receive discounts and more!
Know Before You Go
Speaking of loving what you buy. Make a wish list! I use pinterest to gather all my favorite items, then when I go shopping I know exactly what I am looking for. Then when you know what you want... find the best price.
Have you ever bought something then walked into another store and found a better price? Makes you want to cry huh? Yep, that's why it's important to do your research! Look online to find the best prices before you hit the mall.
Care for Clothes Properly
After you wear your clothes, hang them back up! You don't want to ruin your favorite blazer, because you left sitting on a chair, then make up got on it and you're sad.
I don't know about y'all, but I have ruined a dry clean only shirt or two by throwing it in the laundry basket without thinking. Moral of the story, read the wash label.
Now let me know, what's your fashion resolution?
