This weekend my spring cleaning began. It all started when I looked at my closet and went into complete panic mode! This inspired me to inspire you to spring clean your closet!
Here are a few tips:
-First, you have to face reality. I'm the type of person who wants to hold on to clothes, because I might need them one day. Truth is if you haven't worn it in over a year, you don't need it. This includes clothes that don't fit! Next, go through all those clothes you keep meaning to take to the dry cleaners and just do it! While you're at it decide if anything needs to be tailored!
-Now that you've decided what you don't want anymore you have two options; resale or donate. I took my clothes to Plato's Closet. They evaluate your clothes while you're shopping around then give you a price. I made about $60 on the spot! It's so simple I can't wait to do it again.
-It's time to organize! The easiest way to do this is to keep seasonal items separate, put similar items together, then group colors. Easy enough?
-Finally, how you hang your clothes makes a difference. Make sure you have the proper hangers, that are sturdy. I suggest using the velvet hangers, because they're hard to break, slim shaped and your clothes stay put!
Also, make sure all your clothes are facing the same direction, so you can easily look through your closet!
