When it comes to shopping for everyday items, how I save is by checking out deals around town. My favorite way to save is the daily deals at Target. Target is my go to place for almost everything I need. If you check out their website, everyday there are new deals posted from items like clothing and purses to furniture for your apartment. In addition, Target also post coupons for the everyday shopper.
Coupons are so useful if used correctly, as seen in those extreme couponing shows on television. However, I am not one to buy thirty boxes of tissues to get 5 for free. I think buying in bulk is ridiculous.
Coupons can be really helpful though. The coupons for Target can save you a dollar here and there, and that stuff can add up quickly.
Walmart.com is also a great place to search for savings. Check the store's website every week to see if there is anything you are looking for. The websites will also show what is on clearance.
If I am looking for decorations for my house, I try to visit stores like Ross or Goodwill. The selections are going to be limited, but if you dig around enough you can find some pretty neat things. I found an awesome picture frame at Ross that I hung a cheap poster in. My roommate found a small nightstand at Goodwill that she painted. It is a great way to express yourself with color and designs, and it helps that you’re not ruining something expensive.
When it comes to shopping, don’t just stick to the mall. Look around town and don’t be afraid to go to the Dollar Store. No one is going to think you’re cheap. Instead, it makes you look frugal, smart, and creative.
