Crescent Dogs are my go-to meal when I’m looking for something fast, easy, and cheap. This is the perfect recipe for when you’re on the go with not much time for cooking. We all know that no one wants to slave over the stove when they’re in a rush. All you have to do is put a few things together and cook them!
A Few Simple Ingredients:
8 hot dogs
4 slices of cheese – each cut into 6 strips
1 8 oz. can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Fast and Easy Instructions:
1. Set oven to 375 degrees. Cut hot dogs to the point where they are almost in half and insert cheese into each slit.
2. Separate the dough into triangles. Wrap the triangles around each hot dog. Place the crescent dogs on a baking sheet.
3. Bake crescent dogs for 12-15 minutes.
The good news about these Crescent Dogs is that kids love them. Any mom will be crowned “super mom” after serving their family this dish. Another plus is that there is a way to make this recipe healthier. All you need to do is substitute the hot dogs with turkey or chicken dogs, the cheese with low-fat cheese, and the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls with Reduced Fat Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. I always make the healthier version and the taste is just as fabulous as the regular. If you decide to make this meal while you’re on the run, I promise you won’t be disappointed. I hope you enjoy this fast, easy meal as much as I do!
