Homemade Whiskey Applesauce... Yes Please!


The winter weather is way beyond what a normal Texan is used to, so let’s warm up with this week’s recipe; Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey Applesauce!

Fireball Whiskey Applesauce
6 Granny Smith Apples
6 McIntosh Apples
8 oz Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
Sugar
Cinnamon

Prep by the cleaning the apples to remove any pesticides or dirt and then slice into about 8 slices per apple. Add the sliced apples and 8 ounces of whiskey to a pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and reduce to a simmer for about thirty minutes. Now that your apples are nice and mushy, add to a food processor or blender and blend into a sauce consistency. Add about ¼ cup of sugar and about a teaspoon of cinnamon to taste and mix together.

In the video, I made this recipe to make enough for one serving but you can easily adjust to make enough for however much is needed. This homemade treat would make for a delicious dessert for guests as it is sweet and will warm you up in no time. And since it's fresh ingredients it has to be healthy right? Let's just say it is.
