It’s Thirsty Thursday y’all! After the Ravens and 49ers clinched the AFC and NFC Championships this past weekend and will be heading to the Super Bowl, all that’s on everyone’s mind is that glorious Sunday. Well, all that’s on my mind at least. How does a spicy Michelada and some Texas Trash sound to kick off the Super Bowl party planning?
Michelada Mania Ingredients:
2 oz tomato juice
4 drops Tabasco
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Juice of 1 lime
1 pinch of red pepper flakes
1 bottle Mexican beer
Mix together the first five ingredients and add beer and ice. Plain and simple! Clearly lots of beer will be consumed Super Bowl Sunday but the Michelada mixes it up for guests who want something different.
Plus, you can try this recipe out as soon as the day starts! I won’t tell.
Appetizers, and lots of them, are critical for any football watch party but especially Super Bowl Sunday! This Texas Trash recipe is an easy touchdown!
Texas Trash Ingredients:
1 package cream cheese, softened
2 cans refried beans
1 cup sour cream
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese with jalapenos
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees to start. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning together. Add in the beans and 2 cups of cheese. Spread the mixture out in a casserole dish and top with the remaining cheese. Pop it in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes and enjoy! This may not be the most calorie friendly dish, but come on. It’s the Super Bowl. If you’re anything like me you’ll be running around the living room screaming and burning a ridiculous amount of calories anyway.
Let the party planning begin! Stay tuned for more Super Bowl treats next week! Maybe I’ll reveal who I’m rooting for. Have you decide yet?!
