Still haven’t figured out where to take that special someone on a date tonight? Looking for a peaceful outdoor location to have a picnic and get away from it all? Hate chocolate and flowers? Want to completely rebel against the holiday of “love”?

If you are looking for a romantic evening out, Downtown Bryan is the place for you. Casablanca will be showing at 6:30 and 9:00PM February 14-15 at the Palace Theater! Tickets are only $5, and if you keep your ticket stubs, you will receive $5 off a romantic dinner at any of these scrumptious participating restaurants: Caffe Capri, Casa Rodriguez, Papa Perez, The Village Café, Downtown Uncorked, The Lemon Wedge, and Madden’s Gourmet.

Avoid the crowded, long wait at a restaurant, and head outdoors to surprise your date! Pack some chocolate covered strawberries, your favorite snacks, and a few sandwiches, and head to the nearest park for a lunch date. Most parks have great picnic areas, perfect for a casual lunch date, and trails to explore afterward. Check out Brazos Bend State Park or if you live in Bryan/College Station, check out this list of parks for the closest one!
For all you Non-Conformists out there...
If you have never enjoyed Valentine’s Day, don’t wear all black clothing and start sending hate-mail to combat the holiday, make this Bucket-List Day instead! Pick something you have always wanted to do, grab someone to join you and go do it. Go skydiving, take a crazy road trip, sing karaoke, learn to ride a unicycle, learn to ride a skateboard, go horseback riding at the beach, take a karate class, buy Rosetta Stone and start learning that language you have always wanted to learn. Just do something AWESOME!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
