Watch: How To Make Boozy Bears

This week features something I, and probably most of you, have always wanted to try; Vodka Gummy Bears. Gummy bears will absorb the vodka after soaking to leave you with a fruity alcohol infused treat! I bought regular gummy bears and gummy worms also to experiment with. You could also try the sugar free kind as well; it’s all about trial and error this week!

Vodka Gummy Bears

A glass container
Plastic Wrap

Start out by putting the candy in a glass dish (I used a glass bowl). An exact amount of vodka isn’t necessary in this case. I simply poured the vodka until it covered all of the gummy bears. As you play around with this recipe, you may find you prefer using less alcohol so the vodka isn’t as strong. The gummy bears will soak up all of the alcohol no matter how much you pour in so add enough to your liking. If using a glass bowl like I did, cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge. Allow at least a day or so for the candy to absorb all the vodka. You can see the level of vodka go down as the candies soak every drop up to gage when they’re good and ready. The candies will expand as they soak up the alcohol and should be noticeable in comparison to how they were originally.

Once they have soaked up the vodka, you are free to devour them! They will be kind of slippery and messy but totally worth it, trust me. There may be some leftover gummy bear infused vodka at the bottom of the dish, pour it over ice and make for a great little fruity drink for yourself. Bonus!

Be careful with these y’all especially if you have kids around; keep them in the hands of legal aged people! Also, it may seem like you’re just eating candy but you are still ingesting all the alcohol the candies have absorbed so they have the tendency to sneak up on you. Don’t underestimate these boozy bears!
