Dine in With Taco Soup

Everyone in my family knows that Mexican food is my favorite. When we were younger, my parents would ask my sisters and I where we wanted to eat out on Friday nights. My answer was always “anywhere with Mexican food of course.” Unfortunately, my two sisters would roll their eyes with disgust, and we would end up eating their food of choice. Lucky for me, the only two restaurants my parents will eat at these days are both Mexican food restaurants. The only problem is that sometimes my family doesn’t feel like going out to eat on the weekends. Because my mom knows I can’t stay away from the zesty cuisine, she came up with a recipe that would allow us to get our Mexican fix at home – Taco Soup.

Ingredients:

1 lb of ground meat
1 pack of taco seasoning mix
1 pack of ranch seasoning mix
1 can of corn
1 can of pinto beans
1 can of Rotel
1 can of green beans

Directions:

1. Brown the ground meat. Once completely cooked, place meat into a large pot.

2. Add packets of taco and ranch mix into pot.

3. Add cans of corn, pinto beans, Rotel, and green beans and bring to a boil.

4. Simmer for another 5 minutes and enjoy!

Taco Soup has a taste like no other that my sisters cannot even complain about. I promise that if you are a Mexican food lover like me, this dish will exceed your expectations. Throw a few simple ingredients together, and it will feel like you are eating at your favorite restaurant. So next time you’re feeling like skipping the night out on the town, make sure you dine in with Taco Soup.
