Craving pizza? Don’t feel like waiting on the delivery boy? Well forget the delivery and try out the delicious pizza casserole! This dish is one of my favorite casseroles to make. It’s easy and I haven’t heard one person say they didn’t like it. This recipe will leave you never wanting to order another pizza again.
1 bag of egg noodles
1 large jar of spaghetti sauce (I’ve tried Ragu and Prego and both are great)
1 bag of Mozzarella Cheese (I use HEB Fancy Mozzarella)
1 ½ pounds of ground beef
1 package of pepperonis
Here we go:
Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.
Brown the meat and don’t forget to drain the grease.
Use a 9x13 casserole dish, and start the layering by adding a thin layer of tomato sauce.
For the second layer, add half of the boiled noodles, then add half of the ground beef and the rest of the noodles.
Now layer half of the cheese, the rest of the meat, the rest of the sauce, and then the rest of the cheese.
Top off the casserole by placing pepperonis on top. Add as much as you like.
Once the oven is preheated, cover the casserole with foil and bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes. Once finished, let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Alright, it’s time to dig in!
I hope you and your family or friends enjoy this dish as much as I did. Bon appétit!
