I’m sure by now y’all know what time it is… Thirsty Thursday y’all! The day you can get your drink on to celebrate the glorious fact that tomorrow is Friday! If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of Chuy’s. Their Creamy Jalapeno dip, martinis, delicious enchiladas… I’ll stop making your mouth water now. One thing I’m sure you can gladly get with is getting to experience it at home and for cheaper.
If you make the decision to drink at Chuy’s, their Mexican Martinis are a must! Let’s be honest, the alcohol is lacking in the margaritas. Here’s how you can make one of their yummy martinis at home.
All you need is:
• 2 oz tequila
• 1 oz Cointreau liquor
• 1-2 oz Sprite
• 1 oz orange juice
• Juice of ½ a lime
Add all of the ingredients into a shaker, mix well and pour into a salt rimmed glass. Easy as that! You can also add a few olives if you please. This recipe makes one drink but do some easy math to alter the recipe for more people. Or if you just want to have a few drinks for yourself… I don’t blame you, it’s almost the weekend. That calls for a celebration.
Now for the tapa! I’ve searched and searched for a recipe that is as good as the Creamy Jalapeno dip at Chuy’s. Although I haven’t found an exact match yet (there’s some secret ingredient in there they’re hiding!) this recipe is a good one nonetheless!
• 1 1/3 cups mayo
• 1/3 cup buttermilk
• 1/3 cup chopped jalapenos
• 1/3 cup green chiles
• 1/3 cup cilantro
• 1 (1 oz) packet of dry ranch dressing mix
Mix all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Serve with tortilla chips or make a tasty salad with this as the dressing. This recipe is easy to make and is a must have for Mexican food dinner parties. I made it for a Halloween party and everyone loved it!
Hope y’all enjoy these recipes and have a great rest of the week! If you have any suggestions or would like me to make something for the next Thirsty Thursday, email email@example.com.
