It’s Thirsty Thursday y’all! Thanksgiving has passed but Christmas is on the horizon! As the invites begin to pour in for all those holiday parties, if you’re like me, I am sure you’re beginning to feel the pressure to prepare something that will satisfy all your foodie friends and family. But worry not, I have the answer to all your stresses! To kick off the season, let’s whip up some Santa’s On His Way Wine Spritzers!

For this holiday inspired cocktail, all you need is:

• A bottle of your favorite Moscato white wine (chilled)
• A bottle of Sprite Zero (chilled)
• 12 oz bag of frozen raspberries

Pour equal parts of the Moscato and Sprite Zero into a pitcher, mix well and add in the frozen raspberries. Serve chilled. Doesn’t get easier than that! The beauty is you can make an entire pitcher for holiday festivities or easily make yourself a glass if you’re already tired of Christmas shenanigans, aka simply want an excuse to drink. Bonus, this cocktail is low cal due to the Sprite zero and with the fruit addition, we’re covering some of our ever important food groups. Winning!

For some of us the alcohol is the most important ingredient to any successful holiday party, others enjoy the ridiculous amount of food you get to consume. Moving on to the food! Here’s a simple appetizer recipe that anyone can put together!

Loaded Baked Potato Dip


• 16 ounces sour cream
• 16 slices (12 oz package) bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 1/3 cup thinly sliced scallions or chives

Combine all ingredients except the bacon into a bowl or Tupperware and set aside. Next step is to cook the bacon. Now let me introduce you to a different way of cooking bacon. For those of you who already do this, you know how amazing it is. Line a baking sheet with foil (talk about easy clean up!) and place bacon slices on the sheet. Put your bacon in the oven, set the temperature to 400 degrees and let cook for 15-20 minutes. No preheating necessary! The exact time of course depends on the thickness of the bacon and your oven. Crumble your cooked bacon, add into your prepared mixture, and refrigerate for an hour or so before serving. Feel free to garnish with extra cheese, bacon or chives! Serve with tortilla chips, potato chips, my favorite Pretzel Crisps, or veggies. Easy as pie, well probably easier actually, and absolutely delicious! I personally have a problem walking away from this dip once I start, consider yourself warned.
