It’s Thirsty Thursday y’all! While most of the college population is vacationing at PCB, Gulf Shores, Padre or one of the many other Spring Break hot spots, some of us may be left at home and experiencing the Spring Break Blues. From work, to lack of money, to kids, whatever the responsibility may be, we all deserve a little vacay too! Keep the blues away with some booze!
Turn a Sonic happy hour favorite into a post work cocktail with this Cherry Beer-garita recipe!
12 oz cherry soda
12 oz tequila
12 oz corona (or your fav beer)
12 oz frozen limeade concentrate
Cherry and lime for garnish
Just like a cherry limeade but with a kick! Pour all ingredients into a pitcher and forget about tomorrow’s responsibilities for a while!
On to the next one, use a favorite of Spring Breakers, Mike’s Hard Lemonade to make this next drink!
4 shots strawberry margarita mix
1 shot tequila
1 bottle Mike’s Hard Pink Lemonade
¼ cup sugar
Use the sugar to rim the glass. Combine the margarita mix and the tequila. If you want, fill a blender with ice and add mixture to make it a frozen marg! Fill your glass halfway with the tequila margarita mix. Dunk an open Mike’s Hard Pink Lemonade into the glass. Done son! Drink up!
If you’re trying to maintain the spring break body you worked so hard to get, try a Petite in Pink!
Petite in Pink
4 oz sparkling wine
2 oz lemonade
½ lemon juice
Splash of cranberry juice
Garnish with mint leaves
Combine all ingredients in glass filled with ice and stir. Garnish and enjoy this guilt free cocktail! Under 150 cals, y’all!
See Spring Break can still be fun even if you didn’t go cross country (although I’m sure we’d all make the trip!) to be a beach bunny for a week! Whip up a drink and relax a little more than usual this week. Check out more spring break drinks and everything Thirsty Thursday!
