Happy Thirsty Thursday y’all! Bringing you guys a spectacular sangria recipe this week and a healthy appetizer! If you can’t tell by now, I am truly a sangria fan. Any shape, form or fashion, it’s always good. This year we’re really doing the whole New Year resolution thing right?! Hence the healthy snack. Here’s to White Strawberry Lemon Sangria!

Ingredients:

2 lemons, thinly sliced
1 apple, core removed and sliced
1 cup strawberries, sliced lengthwise
1 750 ml bottle of white wine
½ cup white rum
4 cups lemon lime soda

We’re not messing around with this wine and rum combo this week! Add the lemons, apples, and strawberries to a large pitcher. Pour in the white wine of your choice, cover and place in the fridge for four to five hours. When ready, remove from fridge and add the lemon lime soda. Throw a few pieces of fruit in your glass and pour in your sangria! The perfect combo of sweet and sour.

It seems like everyone these days is obsessed with hummus and I can’t blame them! It’s good for you and makes the perfect snack or compliment to any dinner. I’m sure you’ve seen all the various kinds of hummus at your local grocery store and wondered which to choose. Although they’re probably all pretty good, but search no further! This easy homemade Avocado Hummus is to die for!

Ingredients:

1 can of white beans, drained and rinsed
1 avocado, cubed
Juice from ½ a lime
1 tbsp + 1tsp of olive oil
½ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Blend all your prepared ingredients together in a blender or food processor and you’re done! This literally takes minutes to prepare and is great for snacks or last minute party appetizers. Serve with Preztel Crisps, pita chips, or some veggies and enjoy!
