Last Tuesday, Traditions hosted a Health and Wellness Awareness day.The event went on from 10AM- 2PM and educated not only their residents, but also members of the community on healthy eating habits; different, tasty choices that are available to them; and the benefits of exercising on an regular basis. They offered flu, Pneumonia, Meningitis, and TDaP (Whooping Cough) shots at reduced prices had an advisor onsite talking to participants about health care changes and benefits. They also had a table from Beach Body with information about the Insanity and P90X workout programs.

Traditions offered pickled carrots, beets, and cauliflower for sampling as well as a fruit juice and a vegetable juice for tasting. Although you would never think it, carrots, mangos, apples and oranges make a fantastic juice and picked carrots are just as tasty as pickles!

Traditions got participants involved by offering a Demo P90X workout that featured blaring music and a certified P90X trainer who showed them some intense balance and resistance moves.

And for the less brave or active in attendance, there were free massages that relieved all the day's hectic stresses. Overall, Traditions put on a great event to promote healthy eating and exercise, and for some of us, give us delicious new juice ideas!
