Many people take calorie intake into consideration when trying to lose weight. People will go to great lengths to avoid high calorie foods. What many people fail to realize, is how many calories they are consuming simply by the things they are drinking. Liquid calories are equally (if not more) sneaky than calories from solid foods.

In a study done by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, cutting 100 calories a day from liquids resulted in weight loss of about 0.5 pounds over a time period of 6 to 18 months. During that same amount of time, when cutting 100 calories per day resulted in only 0.1 pounds.

Take this as a quick reminder to watch not only what you're eating, but also what you're drinking as well!
