California Beats Coastal Carolina in Game 1 of College Station Regional

Posted: 6:04 PM - The third-seeded California Golden Bears (35-19, 18-12 Pac-12) knocked off the second-seeded Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (38-20, 17-7 Big South) 9-3 on Friday afternoon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park to open the College Station Regional. Sophomore starter Daulton Jefferies threw seven sparkling innings for the Bears, allowing just one run on three hits, striking out five Chanticleers to pick up his sixth win of the season.
