Updated: 08/22/2014 - Two weeks from tomorrow the Texas A&M Football team will hit the new grass of Kyle Field for its first home game of the season against Lamar University. The first phase of the 450-million dollar expansion and renovation of Kyle is almost complete with workers doing a lot of tweaking over the next couple of weeks. This is new aerial video of the stadium that will seat 106,500 this season, with phase two and the rebuilding of the west side set to be finished before the beginning of next season.
Posted: 08/05/2014 - The Brazos Valley Bombers (39-14) fell 5-1 to the second place Victoria Generals (35-22) Tuesday. The Generals went to work on offense quickly, scoring all five of their runs in the first three innings. Though the scoreboard wouldn’t reflect it, the Bombers held their own offensively as well, posting 10 total hits and seven walks.
Posted: 08/20/2014 - The San Francisco Giants became the first team since 1986 to win a protest filed with Major League Baseball, and will now get to resume a rain-shortened game the Chicago Cubs thought they had won. The game will resume Thursday at Wrigley with the Cubs leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
