ANN ARBOR, Michigan (AP) - Cautionary tales about guys like former NFL quarterback Brett Farve and ex-New York Congressman Anthony Weiner aside - it appears a lot of people are still into sexting. In case you've been sleeping the past couple of years, that's when people send or receive sex-related messages on their phone - including pictures that are sexually explicit. A new study indicates that sexting isn't considered as taboo as it once way. The University of Michigan SexLab and Prevention Research Center says its recent study of young adults between 18 and 24 says sexting simply is "another way of flirting." Nearly half of people that age - some 43 percent - say they have received or sent sex-related messages on their phone. And of that number, 28 percent said they had sent or gotten sexual pictures.
