(New York Daily News) - A porky pooch had a face-lift because his wrinkles meant he could barely open his eyes.
Sesame the Chinese Shar Pei also suffered a series of chronic infections as the extra weight folded over his ears.
Staff at The San Antonio Humane Society took pity on the poor two-year-old pup - and arranged for him to undergo two face-saving operations.
"After two surgeries to remove excess skin and pin back his ears, Sesame's eyes have finally opened and he is able to see the world for the first time as an adult," a statement read.
With a new lease of life, Monday's successful surgery means Sesame is now up for adoption, reports KENS5.
