A crowd of close to 200 heard local candidates pitch their platforms at Tuesday night's Hispanic Forum Political Forum in Bryan.

The group included both Republican and Democratic hopefuls vying for offices from Austin to Brazos County. Each candidate was allowed an introductory statement. That was followed by a question-and-answer session for all participants.

"It give the Hispanic community who stay home close to Bryan, a chance to come out and hear what the candidates plan on doing for the Hispanic community," said Marci Ramirez, Event Organizer

In between the candidates, the Hispanic Forum hosted a cake auction to raise money for student scholarships.
