The March primary (and possibly an April runoff) will decide who will represent much of Brazos County in the Texas House of Representatives. Starting Tuesday, those four candidates will appear on the only local morning television newscast.

Brazos Valley This Morning will feature the following line-up of guests:

Tuesday: Rep. Fred Brown
Wednesday: Blanche Brick
Thursday: Buddy Winn
Friday: Rick Davis

The incumbent Brown has held the office for 12 years. Brick is a history professor at Blinn College. Winn is the former longtime tax-assessor collector for Brazos County. Davis is a practicing attorney and former district court judge.

There are no Democrats running for this office.

Candidates for the GOP nomination for both State Senate District 5 and Texas' 17th District of the US House have already appeared on Brazos Valley This Morning. Video from the on-air interview and online exclusive content can be found by going to the morning show page here at KBTX.com.

Candidates for the Republican nomination for Brazos County judge will appear on BVTM next week.

Early voting for the primaries begins Monday and runs through February 26. Election Day for the primaries is March 2.
