Duane Peters is seeking the Republican nomination for Brazos County judge. Thursday morning, he talked about his campaign for this March primary on the only local morning television newscast.
Peters was the last of 15 candidates to appear in February on Brazos Valley This Morning. His opponents for the Republican nomination are Brian Alg, Mark Conlee and Ernie Wentrcek. The others appeared earlier in the week.
The current judge, Randy Sims, is not running for re-election. There are no Democrats running for this office, though an independent, Doug O'Brien, has announced he is running.
Peters discussed why he ran for judge, his thoughts on the biggest issues facing the county, growth, the Expo, and taxes.
The current commissioner also answered questions after the on-air segment for the morning show's Facebook and YouTube sites. That video is available below. Become a fan of BVTM on Facebook for exclusive behind the scenes content and updates.
