Bryan Mayor Gets a Chair on BTU Board

There'll be an extra chair at the table for all future BTU Board meetings.

The Bryan city council voted Tuesday night to place the mayor, or a council member selected by the mayor, on the electric company's advisory board as a non-voting member.

The BTU board made the recommendation Monday.

The move was first suggested by the council as a way to ease tensions and improve communications between city officials and BTU officials.
