Bryan Councilmember Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Bryan City Councilman Mike Southerland is recovering after a heart attack and surgery.

He was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon and underwent surgery.

At last check, Southerland was in serious condition but is now stable at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

Southerland has been on the council since 2006. He is in his second and final term.
