A new state representative for the Bryan/College Station area will likely be decided Tuesday.
Republicans Bob Yancy and John Raney finished one-two in the five-person race for District 14 last month. Since no one earned a majority of the votes, a runoff is needed.
District 14's winner will represent most of Bryan/College Station. The winner will fill Fred Brown's unexpired term, but will need to run again in next year's general election. Brown retired from the House after taking a job outside the district.
More than 2,500 people voted last week in early voting according to Brazos County elections officials. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
