As part of News 3's efforts to make sure you're an informed voter for this upcoming election, all this week, we're having the candidates for Texas House District 14 on First News at Four to talk about why they want to serve.

The lone Libertarian in the race is Joshua Baker. He's a Huntsville High School and Dallas Baptist University graduate with a degree in political science. Originally from Victoria, he now lives in College Station where he works in retail.

Longtime Representative Fred Brown relinquished his seat because he took a job outside the district. Now, five individuals are vying to finish out his term and run again next year as the incumbent.
