Blinn College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting a basic QuickBooks course designed to teach small business owners how to get the most out of their accounting software.
The two-part course will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 10 and 17 and is designed for those who are new to accounting software.
Course topics include:
· Setting up your company from scratch.
· Your chart of accounts.
· Customers and vendors.
· Accounts payable and receivable.
· Bank and credit card account reconciliation.
· Financial reports.
The course is taught by Deborah Hroch of Simple Solutions Consulting, a certified QuickBooks instructor, at the Bullock Building on Blinn’s Brenham campus (map). The $140 fee covers both days and pre-registration is required. Register online at www.blinn.edu/sbdc and save $20.
The SBDC at Blinn College is a business consulting and training center that is part of the University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network, which serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas. The center provides free one-on-one consulting and low-cost training seminars.
