The Blinn College Ex-Students Association is seeking nominations for its 11th Hall of Honor class.
Founded in 2003, the Hall of Honor recognizes some of the College’s most distinguished alumni and business leaders who have made a significant impact in their communities or professions. To date, 51 men and women have been honored with the Association’s most prestigious award.
This year’s honorees will be recognized during the College’s Homecoming festivities on Oct. 19.
Nominations for the 2013 class will be accepted through July 1, and the form is available at blinn.edu/exstudents. The nomination should include an account of the nominee’s accomplishments.
Last year’s honorees include Ben Flencher Jr. as man of the year, as well as Grace Crawford, Bill Thane, Dr. Thomas Morris Spencer and Dr. Greg Phillips.
Blinn’s Ex-Students Association maintains contact with former students to encourage support for and participation in the educational, cultural, athletic and social programs of the College, and assists the College in achieving planned goals and objectives.
In addition to its four campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg and Sealy, Blinn teaches online courses, dual credit for high school and prepares students for quick employment through its workforce education, technical training and vocational education programs.
