Blinn College basketball coach Scott Schumacher will host Coach Schu’s Basketball Academy for boys who recently completed Grades 2-11 on June 18-21.
The camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 18-21 at the Blinn P.E. Building on the college’s Brenham campus. The camp costs $150, which includes four days of instruction, a basketball, T-shirt, water bottle, camp awards and a hot lunch each day. Instruction is designed to emphasize fundamentals, hard work and a positive experience.

About Coach Schumacher
Blinn College athletic director and men’s basketball coach Scott Schumacher has more than 25 years’ experience as a college basketball coach, including 23 as a head coach in the junior college ranks. Over that span he has collected more than 400 victories and led three different junior college programs to a conference championship. He is the only coach in Texas Eastern Athletic Conference history to lead two different programs to a conference championship.
Schumacher has coached 12 NJCAA All-Americans. More than 60 of his players have signed Division I scholarships, and three have gone on to play in the NBA. From 2005-09, Schumacher served on the USA Basketball Collegiate Selection Committee along with coaching legends such as Kansas head coach Bill Self, Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim and Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo.
