We've been home for several days now, but I want to tell you about the rest of our Holiday Vacations trip to Canada. Our last day in Banff still held some surprises, and some more beautiful sights. The Cascade Gardens in Banff may not be as expansive as Butchart Gardens, but the flowers are strikingly colorful. After a stroll through those gardens, we were off to the Bow River Falls right on the edge of town, and then to the historic Banff Springs Hotel. The nearly 100-year-old hotel is another one built by the Canadian Pacific Railroad, like the Chateau Lake Louise and the Empress Hotel in Victoria. After touring the hotel, and for the second day in a row, we were treated to a buffet fit for a king (and queen).
Okay, we're about to pop! But we have more sights to see on the way to Calgary. As we wave good-bye to the Canadian Rockies and head into the city, we stop at the Olympic Park, sight of the 1988 Winter Olympics. Check out the rest of the pictures from this last full day in Canada in the Eye on You section.
We have one more wonderful meal together at our hotel in Calgary before turning in for our last night's sleep north of the border. We weren't finished, though, as our bus driver gave us a quick tour of the city on the way to the airport. And we all made it safely home.
KBTX viewers from Bryan, College Station, Wellborn, Jewett, Hilltop Lakes, and Snook, took a vacation together, one we'll never forget, and one we'll always cherish. The youngest in our group is twenty-one, the oldest, well, mature. We had a great time getting to know each other and sharing the wonderful experiences. We plan on getting together in a few months to share pictures and memories. And I think that everyone in the group would agree that we'd like to go on another trip together. And we'd love to have you come along with us.
