An estimated 140 million Americans will be watching the big game on Sunday.

Super Bowl Sunday has become an annual tradition in many houses, whether you watch the game with friends, family or alone, most people watch it; even those really not into sports.

While some (ok, most) will be watching to see if the New England Patriots can remain undefeated against the New York Giants, others (such as myself) will be watching those million dollar commercials and Paula Abdul's big comeback performance. That's what I predict everyone will be talking about on Monday.

Some people really get into the whole Super Bowl party thing. From food, to decorations and even invitations. We're just having a few friends over to watch the halftime performance...umm...I mean the game.

While you're munching on those Super Bowl snacks...here's some food for thought. I saw this recent study about double dipping:

The study indicates that plunging a chip twice in a bowl of dip after taking a bite in between can spread germs. Clemson University professor Paul Dawson says he was "very surprised" to learn three to six double dips transferred about 10,000 bacteria from an eater's mouth to the rest of the dip. The study didn't get into whether that was enough to make you sick if you dip behind a double dipper. But Dawson says to him, it's like "kissing everybody at the party." Details of the study are to be published in the journal Food Safety within the next six months.

So watch the salsa bowl...and have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

Until next time...

Crystal
