| 100-Degree Days in 2008 for Bryan/College Station |

I recall a story I prepared in June highlighting the lack of 100 degree weather for Bryan/College Station. All of a sudden, as we all collectively slow down from Edouard-watch, I'm amazed at the numbers a month later.
In a stretch of two weeks, the high temperature in Bryan/College Station has reached at least 100 degrees ten times. The first 100 degree day came as an unwanted gift from Dolly, with subsidence around the storm shooting our temps up. Afterwards, the same upper-level high that was responsible for the big heat wave in Dallas/Ft. Worth kept us above the century mark for a long stretch of days, with the warmest temperature -- so far -- coming in at 105 on August 5th.
A cool front will ease into northeast Texas by the end of the week, but don't look for any cool downs in the Brazos Valley -- that's fairly uncommon for the beginning of August in the Twin Cities.
