I recently had the opportunity to speak with Bill Read -- director of the National Hurricane Center -- on a variety of issues relating to the 2008 hurricane season, including talk about Ike, the Saffir-Simpson scale and his thoughts on being the first-year director at the NHC.

We took bits and pieces of Read's interview to include in a Tropical Season Wrap-Up story that recently aired, but due on-air time restraints, only about 5% of Read's interview actually aired!  So here's some raw footage -- broken into sections -- of our chat! (These clips can also be watched full-screen)
