There are a lot of great resources at our fingertips when it comes to tightening our budgets and saving money. With just a click of a mouse, you can find a great deal of information to help you pinch pennies.

I stumbled across one website today, that some of you might already be familiar with.

Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is part of AgriLife Extension, which is part of the Texas A&M System. AgriLife Extension has useful information for families, including how to manage money during tough times.

Here's the link for more information:

On the site you can find articles that tell you how to stretch your food dollars at home, to debt management in tough times, to how to make extra money.

Here's another site to help you manage your money.

This website is managed by the United States government. It is designed to teach Americans the basics about financial education. From information on buying a home, to balancing your checkbook to investing in your 401k, you can find it on this site.

Another U.S. government website, www.consumer.gov, is another resource for money saving tips. This site has information on how to shop safely online to avoiding credit card fraud, all good tips to make sure you don't lose money while trying to save.

News Three is starting a segment called "Saving You Money," and we're looking for ideas from you. How do you save money? Do you have a second job, clip coupons, barter? If so, we want to hear about it. You can send your money saving tips to me at stancik@kbtx.com or just leave your thoughts here.

Happy Saving!
