It's day five of my Food Stamp Challenge, and as expected Saturday has been the hardest day.
My family is in town for the big game and there's lots of food, but I've turned it down. The "accept no handout" rule has been the most challenging.
So, since my day is super busy, I'll keep this short and sweet.
This is what I've eaten so far, and what's for dinner:
1 cup oatmeal
One half of a baked potato topped with brown rice and black beans plus salsa
1 cup yogurt
One peanut butter sandwich (two pieces wheat bread and two tablespoons peanut butter)
Yes, I'm bringing a sandwich to a tailgate..there's a first for everything.
I'll probably be starving when I get home, so I'll probably have some yogurt or skim milk.
I think my stomach is shrinking, because I'm not nearly as hungry as I usually am.
I plan on roasting the chicken fryer tomorrow and I'll have that throughout the rest of the challenge. I'm looking forward to a change.
