I have to admit, I have fallen off the wagon this past weekend. With the Fat Flush diet finished on Friday, it didn't take long before I was tempted by some of the best food in the Brazos Valley. It all started on Friday night when Meredith was asked to emcee the 2nd annual Family Promise cook off. I tagged along to the First United Methodist Church in Bryan and the chance to judge the food couldn't be passed up! From jambalaya, to egg salad, jalapeño popper dip, and taco soup...everything was delicious. I was sure to have small portions though and it was incredible!
On Saturday, we celebrated my Dad's birthday. We went to an Italian restaurant where after a few glasses of wine and I ordered the tortellini. Fortunately it came in a very small serving portion so the calorie count wasn't as bad as it could have been but it still wasn't great. The good news I did pass on the cake.
Now Sunday is usually my day to get back on track and things started out fine. Meredith made one of my favorite dishes, crust less pizza! It's just lean ground beef cooked, then laid out flat like a pizza. It's then topped with low fat cheese, turkey pepperoni, and tomato sauce. It's out of this world and really isn't too bad for ya. Well things were going fine but for dinner, we ended up at a Chinese restaurant. Not too many low calorie options there but I went with the bun, or rice bowl, which was made with grilled pork and filled with veggies. DELICIOUS!
So after that weekend, I'm not really looking forward to Weigh in Wednesday this week. Last week we hit the 286 mark and this week, I'm hoping to see the 70's. We'll see what happens!
Till then!
