Not feeling much like Christmas out there today, huh? Don't worry...once our front pushes through tomorrow, you'll be scrambling for those Christmas sweaters once again!
While our White Christmas chances are nil and non-existent...we'll still see beautiful, sunny weather Friday with chilly temperatures to go along with opening those Christmas presents. But as weather minds usually do, we got to wondering how have we spent Christmas in the past? Well, here are your ups and your downs:
Warmest Christmas Day: 85 degrees in 1955.
Coldest Christmas: 11 degrees in 1983.
Wettest Christmas: 2.50" of rain in 1904.
Average high is usually about 60, average low around 40 and average rainfall just shy of a tenth of an inch. So overall, this year we'll be below average for both the high and the low, and well, it just doesn't look like any raindrops in sight...or snowflakes for that matter!
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us here in the News 3 Weather Center and KBTX!
