We'll wrap up 2009 and cruise into 2010 with an event that only happens once in a blue moon. What event would that be? Well...a blue moon!
Now don't get excited, the moon won't actually be blue, but rather it will be the second full moon that we have seen this month. According to NASA, a blue moon occurs every 2.5 years, however, a blue moon hasn't occurred on December 31st since 1990.
