Updated: Wed 11:43 AM, Mar 10, 2010

(11:27 am)  Report of 1/4" hail in Carlos.

(11:15am) Cluster of showers originating from Grimes County drifting to the northeast around 35mph.  Reports of up to marble size hail in Madisonville.

(8:12am) A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect for Milam, Robertson and Leon Counties until 3pm this afternoon.

Today:

We have been talking shower and thunderstorm chances this week for today, and it looks like we'll have a decent shot at just that.  As of 7am this morning, the Storm Prediction Center has placed the Brazos Valley under a slight risk for severe weather, meaning there is a potential that as some storms roll through large hail and strong, gusty winds will be possible.  Strong storms are already taking shape in North Central Texas this morning and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect off to our north and west.  Estimated time frame for these storms is between mid-morning to mid-afternoon, with lunchtime being a good estimate for Bryan/College Station.

Rest of the Week:

Another round of energy will come swinging down from the north, however this time the moisture won't be there for it to work with.  This one will, however, open up the gates to the north and allow some cooler air to filter in.  Overall, not a bad end to the week with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s.
