Busy weekend going on across Aggieland.  It all starts today, its Aggie Ring Day (Friday...congrats to all the Aggies with new gold on their fingers) along with the beginning of Parents Weekend.  Saturday, both College Station and Bryan have a lot going on including an Earth Day celebration at Wolfpen Creek and art on display in Downtown Bryan.  Not to mention, tomorrow afternoon is the Maroon and White game! Also, we are at the peak of wildflower season so lots of folks planning on getting out to enjoy some good ol' fashion Mother Nature.  And that's just to name a few things...

...but what ever you have planned, you may want to keep an umbrella at arms reach, just in case, as hit-or-miss rain showers look to push across the Brazos Valley from time to time. 

A very weak cold front is drifting into Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle this Friday morning, and should crawl its way towards our backyard by late Saturday and into Sunday.  Ahead of the front, with plenty of moisture on hand and afternoon highs reaching the upper 70s, to low 80s for some, pop up scattered showers should fire up and dance their way across the area.  However, don't go cancelling any outdoor plans...the weekend doesn't look like a washout by any means.  Most likely if you do find yourself under a passing shower, it will leave just about as quickly as it came.  There may be one or two scattered thunderstorms among these showers that could have a little thunder and possibly small, pea size hail...but that's more of the exception rather than the rule this weekend. 

Right now, hit-or-miss shower chances are at 40%.  Saturday activity should be widely scattered across the area.  However, Sunday, with our front in the neighborhood, there should be a little more uniformity with this activity...albeit still scattered along the front.  Before you head out for your weekend plans, feel free to check out FasTrac Radar online.
