A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for most of the Brazos Valley...and for that matter most of the Southern half of Texas. The watch here at home officially begins Saturday morning and lasts through Sunday morning.

It is not out of the question that 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall, widespread, throughout the area -- with localized totals between 3 and 5 inches possible. Below are two of our in-house PinPoint Forecast Computer Models. The first is a higher resolution model (which seems to be over doing rain totals for our northeastern counties ) and the second is an older, lower resolution model (which seems to have a better handle on the overall weather system moving our direction)

Below are two different views of the PinPoint Computer Forecast Model (local Brazos Valley wide and Texas wide views). Both are predicting that the center of this low pressure system drags right over the Brazos Valley leading to a better part of Saturday under rain.
