It's funny. While we were in the grips of Winter -- we were talking about how temperatures were a bit more mild than they typically were supposed to be.
Here we are in some of the early weeks of Spring and yesterday we struggled to make the low 50s across much of the Brazos Valley. Friday morning kicked off with temperatures down between the mid 30s and mid 40s across the area.
Good news, all you weekenders and warm weather lovers -- we're headed back into a spring feel for the next several days!
Warm Up In 3....2....1....
Sunshine returns to the Brazos Valley today, thanks to high pressure moving in behind our upper-level low that brought rounds of rain Tuesday / Wednesday and then the cloud cover on Thursday.
A batch of high clouds is lurking in the Western US and slowly working to slide into the Brazos Valley. No worries...sunshine will continue -- we will just start to see a scattered deck of high cloudiness work in by this evening (which should give a great, picturesque sunset), followed by mostly sunny conditions on Saturday.
Windy Once Again
As our high pressure boot, scoots, and boogies off towards the Eastern US, we'll pick back up a south wind this weekend.
After a slow start Saturday morning, we'll be holding onto hats once again by the afternoon hours. Winds will increase to 10-20mph, with gusts upwards of 25mph at times to round out Saturday. By Sunday we'll find those winds sustained at 15-25, with gusts upwards of 30mph not out of the question.
Even though we'll have to deal with classic, Spring winds -- we'll find temperatures creeping back up near 80° by Saturday afternoon. 80°! Remember, we struggled to get out of the 40s just YESTERDAY! Here's you outlook for the Brazos Valley and Texas as well:
