Quick blog update for you this morning -- want to keep you updated on when you may see some cold rain fall on your Friday. 

If you are an early riser -- you'll likely want to find that umbrella if you plan on stepping out early tomorrow.  Still off for the Christmas holiday? Not planning on getting out of of bed until 9 or 10 in the morning? No need to worry about rain, but you'll want to be sure and keep up with the temperature forecast!

Next 24 to 36 Hours

Expect a chilly day, this Thursday, as highs struggle to reach the low to mid 50s across the Brazos Valley -- with the warmer of those temperature being found across our southern counties, first to see a moisture increase.  The high in Bryan / College Station is only expected to top off around 51° to 52°.

Around sunset, a warm front (of sorts) will be pushing in from the south.  This may allow for a few scattered showers to drift into the area as well -- mainly across our southern and eastern counties.

By 4am to 6am Friday, our next cold front starts to knock on the door.  That will bring the best chance of scattered showers, and possibly a rumble of thunder or two, to the morning hours.  Rain chance is at a 40% shot for early tomorrow morning -- ending by 9am or so.

Reinforcing the Chill

Lows tonight should fall into the upper 40s.  That being said, our low temperatures are anticipated by midnight, followed by a slight "warm-up" of a few degrees heading into sunrise Friday morning.  

Tomorrow's high will be found early on as well.  After reaching the low to mid 60s by noon Friday, the colder air associated with this cold front will reach the Brazos Valley and is expected to drop temperatures into the low to mid 50s by the late afternoon hours.  We'll continue to tumble to right-around freezing by Saturday morning.
