Fullhart vs. Smith: This Time, It's Personal-ized Web Logs

I believe I've figured out who my blog "rival" is going to be: Barbara Smith.

I know this because she's already posted two blogs before some have gotten the chance to log their first post.

I know this because when she and I were the first to post in this section, she e-mailed me and asked if we were the "super nerds."  I replied that I had blogged a few times before, making me the "super duper nerd" (Copyright Stephen J. Fullhart, 2008).

I've coanchored Brazos Valley This Morning with B-Smith once.  It was the Fourth of July, and coincidentally, my good buddy Rodney's second day on the air.  It was also the first time I'd been at the desk with a co-anchor.  I'd flown solo everytime before, so when I took a misstep, she was there to help me out for that hour.  Outside of those 60 long minutes, she's always been there, too.

So it's hard to be "rivals" with my buddy B, but I guess it's got to be that way.  Here's why she'll be a formidable opponent:

- She's older.  Those two years she's got on me can make a huge difference (Brownie Point: Steve).

- She's got two kids.  Amazingly cute kids.  You're reminded of this fact by the 189 photos of them at her desk (give or take 180).

- She's got ever-changing hair.  See her blog.  My hair hasn't changed in seven years or so.

- She's hilarious.  Seriously hilarious.  And witty.  Oh so witty.  I lack these two things.  Ask Galny.

I don't know what my gameplan will include to defeat this new rival, but rest assured, I will make all efforts to find a way.
