I would imagine that everyone's life revolves around a few pivot points. At least mine does...some of them, in no particular order:
1) The U.S. Military -- Dad's served nearly 30 years. The parentals and I have been a few places, though Dad has been quite a few more. That includes Iraq.
2) Soccer -- I'm a big fan of all sports, but the only one I played in an organized league for any length of time was futbol. From age 6 to 18, I was donning a uniform, lacing my cleats and pretending I had a shred of athletic ability.
3) Story-telling -- I'm paid for it now (thankfully), but I always was telling family and friends about tidbits of info, sometimes when they could care less about them.
So when a good soldier, a good game and a good story all come together, it perks my ears. Hopefully, it perks yours.
Take ten minutes of your day and watch this video. I think it might tug a string or two on your heart. From my seat, it makes me want to do three things:
1) Say a prayer for our armed forces.
2) Kick a ball around.
3) Tell a good story.
